Dog-Gate Video, Something's Wrong
I offer this to all interested.
Go to the Liberal website and look at the video.
http://www.liberal.ca
Now watch the video without any sound to distract you.
Remember that Peter MacKay doesn't sit very far from Rona Ambrose.
Watch the faces of the MP's around her. Look at their expressions. Look for reaction.
You won't see laughter, raised eyebrows, snickers, nothing. You only see one MP look across the floor when David McGuinty says "What about your Dog?" and then looks back.
Now listen with sound. Do you hear laughter, snickers?
I would have expected to see some sort of reaction from his fellow MP's, laughter maybe, a snicker of two, maybe a raised eyebrow, maybe a smile, but there's none.
To me, that says something important. It says that maybe Peter didn't say anything at all.
This says to me that maybe the Liberals may be making this whole thing up. A little smoke and mirrors perhaps?
Look for yourself!!! You be the judge!!
Update
Checking out Wikipedia and Gov't Canada Website for seating plan for some perspective.

It seems as though the MP's were concentrating on Ambrose, as they clapped at her comments. I'm guessing they don't usually focus their attention on the bickering in the background.
I can clearly here MacKay go "you already HAVE her", with an emphasis on "have".

So what you're saying is, MP's usually don't focus their attention on the bickering in the background, yet Peter MacKay is able to make an extremely quick comeback while focusing elsewhere?

Without the added subtitles, what I can clearly hear:
unknown male: [mumble] dog.
unknown male: [mumble] havver.
unknown male: [mumble] dog {or maybe} stop.
All in all, the audio is inconclusive and of little help. We're left with the endless "he said/he said".
Can the media and the Liberals please move along to more important matters of state?
Alan
I think it's time that you buy a new headset; it's clear someone is shouting "you already have her", whatever file you listen to.
Look at it this way:
- Eight (8) Liberal MPs have sworn legal affidavits as to what they heard
- Zero (0) Conservative MPs have sworn legal affidavits as to what they heard
If Conservatives are so sure about MacKay speaking the truth, why are they not backing? The answer is quite simple; one liar is more than enough.
I said it before and I'm saying it again: We need a strong government. Everybody makes mistakes. But when things are so black and white (MacKay and you are denying the obvious), I agree it's time to move on: sack the sucker and start governing again. In a strong government there's no place for losers and whiners.
Ahhh, even you admit the "it's clear someone is shouting", but unfortunately you can't who it is.
Why would Conservative MPs have to swear anything, the burden of proof is not on them, it's the accusers, the Liberal Party.
Watch the video, MacKay sits only a few seats away from Ambrose and no one around her reacts to his supposed comments. Not one smile, snicker, laugh, anything. Only one MP looks across the floor when David McGuinty supposed makes his comments and that's it.
Another thing is how do you account for the fact that MacKay is some much closer to Ambrose's mick yet it doesn't pick it up any louder or clearer than McGuinty who is across the floor and 4 rows back.
The voices almost sound the same and at the same volume.
I have a problem with that discrepancy.
I made my comment after listening to the 'cleaned-up' audio only portion five or six times. Speaker quality is not the issue -- the mumbles are mumbles, without deciding ahead of time what they should be.
I can't resist:
In a strong government there's no place for losers and whiners.
Since the Liberals were the ones who lost the election, and they're the only ones whining at the moment, by your own definition the Liberals are not qualified to be a good, strong government.

This is not about the Liberals; it's about a lying Minister. It's not about the race, sex or political views of a minister. MacKay has been caught lying; if he doesn't apologize, then he should resign or be sacked.
PS: I'll try to get Sony to send the Blogging Tories some new headphones if your sure it's not your selective hearing that's confusing you. I can hear it loud and clearly: "You already have her".
"So what you're saying is, MP's usually don't focus their attention on the bickering in the background, yet Peter MacKay is able to make an extremely quick comeback while focusing elsewhere?"
In your post you were talking about the MP's in the video frame. Obviously with the large amounts of bickering, not everyone pays attention to the MP who's speaking. The MPs in the video were clearly focussing on Rona Ambrose. MacKay and his Liberal counterpart were bickering it out when they should've been doing their job.
A *derdogatory* word slips out after a lover*s spat. Its only two people and human nature.
Let it die and on with Canada*s business.
The Islamofascists are closing in. England, France, Sweden, Denmark and Spain.
Who is next?
Working towards a Conservative majority. = TG
Tonyguitar doesn't seem to understand the issue either. It's not about the spat, it's about MacKay denying he ever said it.
Does anyone actually read was has been said?
1) I doubt he said it
2) I don't give a fuck
3) Belinda's a dumn whore
P.S. I already know that Gliberal assholes, who constantly focus on the trivial while Islamo nut-jobs are planning on cutting their heads off with dull knives, are giggling and guffawing at me typing "dumn" while insulting, with justification Bitchlinda.
1) "n" is right next to "b"
2) go fuck yourselves. Whatever you say makes no difference. Harper will be PM for at least 6 more years. Next time with a majority government.
The MPs in the video were clearly focussing on Rona Ambrose
Actually if you look at the seating plan that I updated on this post, you will notice that for those MPs sitting there, Peter MacKay's seat is directly in line with Rona and the Speaker.
Peter's seat is probable 10 feet for them, maybe less.
It sounds to me as though the alleged "You already have her" comes a little too quickly after "What about your dog?" to be taken seriously. As smart and witty as P-Mack may be, no one is that fast.
